From two legendary bloodlines came something that looked as though it had never belonged to Midgard at all.
Dave Wombat forged Jack Frost from his Wombat True Albino Teacher and Albino Penis Envy, originally marking the young cross simply as TAPE.
But the offspring soon revealed its true name.
Ghost-white fruits rose from the darkness like frozen sentinels. Broad pale caps unfolded above ivory stems while their gills transformed with maturity—white giving way to spectral blue-grey and, when allowed to continue, deep glacial blue.
It looked as though winter itself had taken fungal form.
And Jack Frost was born.
From Wombat TAT came the spirit of the Teacher: brilliant albino coloration, sweeping caps, vigor, and productivity.
From Albino Penis Envy came the heavier blood: thicker structure, slower development, and the extraordinary blue coloration that would become Jack Frost's unmistakable mark.
Jack Frost stands between those two ancestral houses—neither Teacher nor APE, but a creature carrying echoes of both.
In the forgotten age, when the roots of Yggdrasil still groaned beneath the weight of the Nine Realms, the gods sealed a piece of the eternal winter beyond the gates of Valhalla.
There it slept.
Until the frost awakened.
Jack Frost emerges as a pale guardian of the northern halls—an ancient fungal Jötunn crowned in ivory and glacial blue.
His cap spreads like a frost-covered Viking shield. His stem rises like a pillar carved from ancient bone. Beneath the crown, blue gills glow like frozen runes illuminated beneath a moonless sky.
